Hyaluronic Acid is a natural thing that is numerous in our bodies. It is found in all human connective tissue. Hyaluronic acid is one of the more heavily considered substances in medicine with exactly thousands of clinical trials concentrating on it. Hyaluronic acid is used to treat muscle spasms, fibromyalga and freeze tissue. It is also used to restore flow and alleviate pain.

Mechanism

Restylane is a gel of Hyaluronic Acid produced by germs and used for treating facial rumple and folds. The body normally produces Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is what gives skin its volume and fullness. When Restylane is injected into wrinkled skin it adds fullness and reduces the prominence of the wrinkles in the previously wrinkled area. Hyaluronic acid also attracts and binds water, and this also helps maintain fullness in the area of injection. The benefit of Hyaluronic acid may last for six months or longer. The FDA permitted Restylane in December 2003.

Prescribed for

Hyaluronic Acid is used for the adjustment of sensible to severe wrinkles and folds (e.g. naso-labial folds). It is also used for enhancing fullness of the lips.

Dosing

Hyaluronic acid is hand out by injection only by a physician. The amount of that is Hyaluronic acid administered depends on the place that is being treated but it should not be more than 1.5 ml per place.

Side effects of Hyaluronic Acid

Use of injectable Hyaluronic Acid may cause any of the following side effects. Such as; appetite loss, diarrhea, headache, itching, skin rash, knee swelling, blue or purplish skin patches, nausea, pain and redness at the injection site

More Serious Side Effects may be blood-clotting problems, called thrombocytoponia, chest tightness, cough, difficulty swallowing, trouble breathing and wheezing

Precautions

If you have any of the following health troubles, consult your doctor before using this product. Ask your doctor about the safe use of this product. Use of Hyaluronic acid during pregnancy and nursing mothers has not been evaluated. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this product is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Storage

Keep this product at room temperature up to 25°C (77°F).
